Faculty Adviser:

Applicants are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the current work of the Department and the academic interests of the faculty members. To the extent possible, they are encouraged to contact a faculty member who could be a future adviser to discuss their work in the Department. The consent of a faculty member to work with candidates is a prerequisite of their admission to the Ph.D. program. After they are admitted, students are free to change their adviser if they so desire. Please list at least two faculty members you are interested in working with.
